The 13th Warrior Movie Review - DVD - Buy Movies - Rent MoviesThis unlikely tale revolves around Ahmed (Banderas) who plays an exiled muslim emissary to a bunch or Norse warriors in a struggle against a mysterious enemy that devours all living creatures in their path. A fortune-teller warns the only way they can win is to include Ahmed as the 13th warrior and away we go. If you liked The Mask of Zorro (I didn't) you'll enjoy this and the 15 certificate accounts for a smattering of blood and gore - certainly nothing my 10 year old son hasn't seen hundreds of time in computer games. The 13th warrior is based on a story by Michael Crichton (Jurassic Park, Twister, Sphere) an author who only ever seems to write with a screenplay in mind, and directed by John McTiernan (Die Hard, The Thomas Crown Affair). Don't bother with the DVD version because apart from a choice of English, Spanish or Italian there are NO extras.
